This is a cool little burger spot in the heart of Santa Monica. Though small, it has plenty of seating at both the bar and the ten or so tables in the place. Theres a solid beer selection and a couple TVs behind the bar if wanting to watch sports. First the service, it was very slow and the waiter seemed confused when putting in orders for an eight top of patrons. The waiter was slow to grab drinks and gave the wrong beers to a few of the people in my party. Not impressed, but the guy could have been having an off night. The bright spot however was the food. I ordered the Stout Burger at medium temp, though it was delivered to the table nearly well done, it was very good. The real star of the meal was the loaded tater tots. They came out crispy, and piping hot while covered in bacon and queso. Pretty amazing! I'll definitely come back if visiting the Santa Monica area.
Not my usual go to burger being a tad on the spicier side, but the The Morning After burger with some pale ale & Chipotle ketchup is lit plus the location and service is great.
I was looking for a place to cool off after a Saturday afternoon walk on the beach in Santa Monica and found this spot. The open design of the restaurant, sweet jams, and jovial servers combined for a killer weekend vibe. The knowledgeable bartender helped me narrow down their extensive beer selection which comprised of multiple options of all different styles including Belgians, stouts, and sours, a nice change of pace from the 90% IPAs you find at other craft beer locations. The terrific happy hour deal was also a nice reprieve for what is usually a pretty pricey side of town. The menu included many great sauces (I was partial to the bell spread) to accompany their burgers and sides, the variety of which will certainly have me returning to try another. Oh, and the brownie sundae ruined my life. Dear God, what a dessert.
Was in town for 19 hours and paid a visit here and it was wonderful! Awesome burgers, a beer menu that rocks and a few cool outdoor seats!
My co-workers and I tried Stout Burgers and it immediately got added to the lunch rotation. Tasty food - burgers, loaded tots, pretzels + tasty beer = return & repeat. The unexpected thing that we all commented on was how we ate a bunch of items that would normally make us feel bloated and gross (see aforementioned burgers, loaded tots, pretzels & beer) but we didn't feel bloated and gross at all. Quite the contrary! All the food was satisfying yet not overly greasy like some burger joints. Nice people work there too. Go already!
Came here for an easy meal with the kids. Their burgers tasted amazing. I ordered the classic American burger for the kids and they devoured it. I ordered the six weeker and the caramelized onions really enhanced the flavor. Their fries and onion rings were on the money too. I used this new app called inKind to pay for the meal and process was super simple and straightforward. If you are looking for a chill place with great burgers and drinks, I definitely recommend you give this place a try!
4 stars for the food and 30 stars for perfect service.. Came in blind as a party of 3 hungry motorcycle riders this past Sunday. None of us read up on the place, we agreed to just try it out. I got the Morning After Burger with a side of cheese fries. Priced right considering the area, and it was a fair amount of food. The burger was good, but I felt like it was missing something. Here we are days later and I still can't say what it is, but the flavor wasn't 120%. The fries were pretty good, definitely loaded with cheese. My friend got the Loaded Tots as a side dish. He described them as excellent, which is why none were left for me to try. Our waitress/hostess Kim was perfect. She was extra friendly, kept up with every table, drinks topped off without question, and delivered the food with a beautiful heart... Come in for good food and fun people watching. Next time I want to try the gourmet pretzel. The table next to ours got one and it gained my interest.
Great place for burgers and beer after a walk around Downtown Santa Monica! Been here 2 times. Got the same thing both times: morning after, low and slow and some tots. The Pattie's are cooked perfectly! And the toppings compliment the patty well. Only thing missing from the burger is something spicy like pickled jalapeños! I like the open scene with tables inside and out, as well as a bar area. My only issue is that the service is not great. It seems like they are not staffed enough, as each time we had to wait a long time before seeing the waiters.
This is my favorite burger place in all of Los Angeles. Their burger is cooked perfectly (if you like it pink inside) and they get the ratios done right. I have eaten at Stout a few times but I'm not going to lie that I usually just order it delivery these days. I wish I could include photos from when I eat there but these delivery photos will have to suffice. I've had a few of their burgers and my favorite is hands-down the Stout Burger. Very well done "gourmet" type of burger. Onion Rings - I don't normally like onion rings but these are bomb!! Beer battered, very crispy and just the right amount of salt. I seriously implore you to try these instead of fries if you even occasionally like onion rings. Pretzel - Not much places in Los Angeles sell these. It's fun to eat and soft salty bread which is good for snacking on. Chicken Fingers - These always seem like a "child" food to me or something I don't normally eat. However, these chicken fingers have a flavor to them which I can't resist. I've been to Stout many, many times and it remains one of my favorite restaurants in all of LA (mainly because I like burgers a lot) and in my opinion Stout has the best burger! My only complaints would be that it's in downtown Santa Monica which can be kinda busy. And I did not really care for their bread pudding that much.
